How it all started...
On story began on Super bowl Sunday 2016. A small group met for prayer and words of encouragement in Wake Forest, NC. The group continued to meet faithfully and in time the church was organized with Pastor Jimmy serving as the Founder and Senior Pastor. The church, like many new church plants, scrambled to find space that would accommodate the ministry. For two years the church met at the Community and Family Life Center in Durham, NC. In August 2018, the church moved to its current location at 7710 Chapel Hill Road in Cary, NC. Through the pandemic, True Worship has continued to persist towards the vision and connect with new generations of believers and true worshippers.
How it is going...
From the beginning, True Worship has always had a strong vision and passion for community outreach and engagement. One of our largest community outreach ministries is the Annual Back 2 School Bash where we provide school supplies to children and youth. We also proudly support the needs of the community by volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, Autism Speaks, North Carolina Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, Urban Ministries of Durham, and the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
Where we are headed...
We are excited about the future God has for our ministry. We stand on the shoulders of those who have paved the way and left a rich legacy of faith. As we look towards the future, we see a leading congregation that is connected to the community, globally engaged through technology, and committed to raising a new generation of disciples for Christ.
